Living on campus
Heidelberg College lies on a beautiful 110-acre campus in the town of Tiffin, in northwest Ohio.
Downtown Tiffin is a classic and charming college town. Located a safe, short walk from campus, it
boasts cafes, a bookstore, shops, music, cultural and historic attractions.
Heidelberg is one of the most highly regarded private liberal arts colleges in the Midwest. During
the academic year, the College hosts a diverse community of 1500 students and 83 full-time faculty
members. Heidelberg’s historic campus has large expanses of beautiful grounds with flowering shrubs
and trees; 10 out of the 26 buildings on campus are on the National Register of Historic Places.
SummerBerg offers students access to the College’s amenities, including state-of-the-art computer
centers and campus-wide wireless access; tennis courts, athletic fields, and a library. During the summer,
the campus is pleasant and relaxed, and SummerBerg students are free to take advantage of these
facilities during the long, warm summer days.
All our students live in Williard Hall, a recently constructed, fully air-conditioned 65-bed residence
hall. All rooms are laid out in suite-style, which means several bedrooms are connected to a main living
room equipped with a small kitchen, fridge, microwave, stove and sink. Students eat most meals in
the College dining hall, but we also head outside for a BBQ on nice summer evenings. The residence
halls are located near the Campus Center – a large central facility housing a fitness center, bookstore,
computer lab, and a café.
