Community

Our team of talented directors, teachers and resident advisors ensure that all SummerBerg students feel welcome and supported throughout their stay.

Our staff is led by experienced directors who oversee all aspects of the program, both academic and social. They ensure the students are safe and healthy and that they are growing both in their classes and as a community. Our teachers are not only qualified within their academic fields, but also have extensive backgrounds working with teens. Our resident advisors plan and supervise all afternoon and evening activities, taking into account student preferences and encouraging social interaction and team-building.

Our team prepares each session well in advance to ensure that students are welcomed as part of an integrated, fun, and safe environment. Our staff members live in the residence halls and are involved with the students throughout the day. Students can approach staff at any time, whether they are feeling a little homesick or just want to hang out and talk about current events.

At the heart of the SummerBerg community, are the creative, inspired, and excited students. Our students come from around the country. Their diversity of interests, skills and backgrounds foster a community in which everyone grows, both in and out of the classroom. Whether a student has been recommended by a teacher, signed-up by parents, or has found us on their own, all our students leave Heidelberg with lasting friendships.
