Application & Tuition

Admissions are rolling and subject to class size. We do not require letters of recommendation, transcripts, or essays. Online applications are accepted until the program is sold out or one week before your desired session’s start day. As space is limited, it is recommended that students complete their online application (Step 1) as early as possible.

Enrollment Process

Step 1: Online application and deposit-www.heidelberg.edu/summerberg

Click “Register Now.” Select your course and session and enter the required information. A per student, per session, non-refundable $250 deposit is required with each online application, and is payable through our secure online system via credit card or e-check.

Upon completion of Step 1, you will receive a detailed welcome pack e-mail. This includes a link to your student profile (Step 2) as well as an attached PDF with important program information.

Step 2: Online student profile-www.heidelberg.edu/summerberg

Click “Student Profile” and complete all information. You may log in to your student profile to add or update information at any time prior to June 1. Tuition balance must also be paid by June 1.


June 1 deadline:The student profile and final payment must be submitted online by June 1. Failure
to do so may result in a $100 late fee and affect admission to the program. Students applying after June 1 may incur a $100 late fee and must submit all information, forms and payment at time of registration. Mail health forms to: SummerBerg at Heidelberg College, 310 E. Tuition & Fees

Basic tuition – $875 per session
Includes room, all on-campus meals and activities, course materials, field trip activities and transportation.

Weekend Stay-Over: $125 – Includes room, supervision, on-campus meals andactivities, and field
trip transportation. Students should bring money for off-campus meals and personal spending.

Airport Transportation Service – To and/or from the Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)
One-way pick-up or drop-off is $25. Round-trip is $50. SummerBerg staff members escort students to and from campus. Heidelberg College provides or arranges for all vehicles and drivers. Detailed instructions on how to request this service will be provided in your welcome pack e-mail. Itineraries and payment must be submitted by June 1.

Refund Policy – Refunds are determined by the date of withdrawal from the program. On or before June 1: All tuition will be refunded, excluding the $250 deposit.

After June 1: All tuition for any student who withdraws or is dismissed for any reason will not be refunded, as the school must honor financial commitments based on expected enrollment.
