Beeghly Library Services

Library Services

The Library staff provides reference assistance in person, by e-mail or by phone . Chat reference help is provided by OhioLINK librarians . The Beeghly reference librarians present library research sessions and collaborate with faculty to provide information literacy classes.

The library provides an online catalog to its own collection with links to the holdings of OPAL and OhioLINK libraries. Heidelberg patrons can directly request items from these other libraries. Traditional interlibrary loan is also available for all current students, faculty and staff.

In addition to the library's print journal collection, it subscribes to more than 125 electronic research databases, many of which link to thousands of full-text articles. Faculty can place copies of materials on Course Reserve in print or electronic formats as e-reserves.

The library building has a wireless connection, includes a computer lab, two classrooms, media viewing equipment, and a student lounge with snack and beverage machines. The Instructional Media Center is within the library and provides media equipment, assistance in its use, and additional educational resources.
