Online Resources

Maumee students have access to the library's online resources either from the Maumee campus computers or from home or work. The library's web site provides access to a wide variety of information resources including research databases, library catalogs and web resources.

To borrow items from Beeghly Library, other OPAL or OhioLINK libraries, and to access the online research databases from non-campus sites, students and faculty must have a current Heidelberg I.D. with a registered barcode. Maumee staff can register your barcode, or you may contact the Tiffin campus circulation department at 419-448-2104.

Beeghly Library Catalog - OPAL

To identify titles held at Beeghly Library search OPAL, the library's online catalog. The Maumee staff will contact the library to send items held at the Tiffin campus to Maumee. Search the other OPAL libraries, and then OhioLINK, for items not owned by Heidelberg.

Use Beeghly Library's Periodical List or the OPAL catalog to locate periodical titles owned by Heidelberg. Articles from the Tiffin campus may be copied and sent to you at Maumee. Many journal and magazine articles are now available online through the Electronic Journal Center (EJC), Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe, Academic Search Premier and other research databases. See Interlibrary Loan for information about obtaining articles or hard-to-find books.

Area Libraries

With a registered Heidelberg I.D., Maumee students may check books out directly from numerous Toledo-area libraries. Most items from these libraries can also be checked out via the OPAL system.
