Heidelberg College has been represented by a number of logotypes for nearly 150 years. As a result, some of the logotypes designed for specific purposes decades ago are still intermingled with more contemporary logotypes. Officially, Heidelberg College is now represented by a very few well-recognized logotypes, in particular, the Heidelberg "H", the Heidelberg Solid "H", the Heidelberg Two-Color "H", and the Heidelberg Script. These logotypes are defined as they appear below. They are not to be altered (except to scale) by shape, proportion or color, unless first approved by the Office of Communication and Marketing. A Heidelberg logotype should appear on all printed and electronically produced media (television, web pages, etc.) produced by Heidelberg College. Heidelberg logotypes should be printed in the appropriate colors. Full-color or four-color printing projects should utilize the two-color Heidelberg "H" in Process Black and PMS 151 Orange (Heidelberg red is PMS 199 Red). One-color projects should include either the Heidelberg "H" or the Heidelberg Solid "H" logotypes in black if possible, or in the single color being used. At present, there is no multi-color Heidelberg College Seal. A signature (a logotype plus an organization's address/telephone information) should be set with "Heidelberg College" in Americana Bold and the contact information being set in Times. The Heidelberg "H" should not be combined with "eidelberg" being set in another typeface. When used with other copy and graphics, the Heidelberg logotypes should be separated from the other material. The logotypes below and other artwork appearing in this electronic version of the guidelines are for illustration only and should not be considered "camera-ready" or be used for graphic reproduction.
