On the sixth straight day that saw temperatures climb above
ninety, only archaeologists ventured out in the noon-day sun. Larry Hamilton

Several large pasture fields were surveyed by "sweeping"
the field with a skirmish line of detector/excavator teams. Here the paper work

historic Engle-Williamson Cemetery near the battlefield's southern edge. This
data will help determine how the cemetery appeared at the time of the battle. |
