The association sets standards for athletic trainers through educational programs. Great Lakes Athletic Training Association (www.glata.org) Organization dedicated to the advancement of the athletic training profession by state. GLATA is comprised of the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (www.caahep.org) CAAHEP accredits programs representing 18 allied health care professions. National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (www.nataboc.org) The mission of the NATA Board of Certification is to certify athletic trainers. To identity for the public quality health care professionals through a system of certification, adjudication, standards of practice and continuing competency programs. Ohio Athletic Trainers Association (www.oata.org) Provides information on Ohio Laws, licensure and qualifications to practice athletic training. |
