Privileges of the Honors Program |

The Honors DiplomaParticularly useful for students planning to attend graduate and professional schools after graduation from Heidelberg, the honors diploma will be accompanied by transcript notation of the completion of the components of the Honors Program and distinctive academic regalia at graduation. The Honors HouseStudents entering the community of learners provided by the Honors Program will have access to the lounge, quiet study, and personal computer areas of the Honors House. Security of the Honors House is maintained through the adherence of students to a signed Honors Code.RegistrationHonors students will be permitted to register for classes prior to other students in their class. During semesters in which students are registered in an honors seminar, they will be permitted to register for up to three hours beyond the maximum for their degrees without incurring additional fees. Oxford Study Abroad ProgramStudents who are members of the Honors Program may be eligible to study for one or two semesters at Oxford University in Oxford, England. The agreement betweem Heidelberg College and the Oxford Study Abroad Program facilitates admission to the University for Heidelberg Honors Students in good standing who have completed two years of college, and have maintained the 3.3 grade point average with a higher point average in their major. | ||||
