Quartet Breaks School Record At ONU

The quartet of senior Nikki Jones (Fremont, Ohio / Hopewell Loudon), sophomore Angela Zellner (Twinsburg, Ohio / Twinsburg) and freshmen Jaimee Olmstead (Stryker, Ohio / Stryker) and Jamie Depinet (New Riegel, Ohio / New Riegel) of the Heidelberg College women’s track and field team set a new school record in the 4x400-meter relay at the Ohio Northern Friday Night Series #5 on Friday.

The group ran to a first place finish in a school record 4:02.79. Jones, Olmstead, Zellner and Depinet topped the previous school record of 4:04. Overall the the 4x400-meter relay school record has been altered on three occasions this season.

Individually, Jones jumped to a second place finish in the high jump with a jump of 5'2.25".
