Heidelberg Falls To John Carroll 4-0

The Heidelberg College women’s soccer team lost to John Carroll 4-0 Wednesday afternoon in University Heights, Ohio. The Blue Streaks improve to 9-6-1 and 2-3-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while the Berg falls to 3-12 and 0-6 in the OAC.

The Tricolor managed five shots on goal with two coming off the foot of senior Kasey Hill (Cincinnati, Ohio / School of Performing Arts). Junior Tara Kirsch (Parma, Ohio / Normandy) took three shots, all of which were on goal.

Leaders for John Carroll include Natalie Bernot (one goal and one assist) and Jenny Spokovich, who scored the game-winning goal in the game’s seventh minute.

Senior goalie Samantha Pawlak (Willoughby, Ohio / South) recorded 14 saves on 18 shots faced. Pawlak drops her record to 1-9 on the season 

The women’s soccer team will play their final home game of the 2006 season Friday when they host Marietta. Kick-off with the Pioneers is set for 4 p.m.
