Heidelberg Trips Up Thomas More

First win in head coaching career of Heidelberg head coach Nicholas Spell

The Heidelberg College women's soccer team scored a goal with more than two minutes remaining in the game to defeat Thomas More 1-0.

Heidelberg senior Kasey Hill (Cincinnati, Ohio / School of Performing Arts) scored her first goal of the season.

With more than two minutes remaining in regulation, Heidelberg ran a set play in the goalie box. The ball hit off Hill's chest and hit the back post. Freshman Jacqui Dilillo (Westlake, Ohio / Westlake) corralled the rebound and passed to the center of the box where Hill booted through what proved to be the game-winning goal.

Heidelberg goalie Lauren Sweeney (Elyria, Ohio / Elyria Catholic) improved to 1-2 on the year by grabbing 18 saves.

The Berg returns to action tomorrow when they take on the Panthers of Hanover. Game time is set for noon.
