| Heidelberg Women's Basketball Releases 2006-07 Schedule The Heidelberg College women's basketball team, under the guidance of 19th year head coach Karen McConnell, has released the Berg’s 2006-07 schedule. Heidelberg will play a 25 game schedule that includes 10 home games in Sieberling Gymnasium.
Heidelberg opens up its 2006-07 slate with four-straight games on the road beginning at the Ramapo Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 17-18. Game is set to start at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 17th. Teams present for the tournament will be N.Y. City Tech, Medger Evers, and Ramapo.
The Berg then concludes its season-opening four-game road swing against non-conference opponents Lake Erie (Nov. 21) and Ohio Wesleyan (Nov. 27).
Ohio Athletic Conference games begin in December with the Berg’s home opener with Wilmington (Dec. 2). The Berg then continues its OAC battle by traveling to Ohio Northern (Dec. 6), hosting Mount Union (Dec. 9), then finishes with its fourth-consecutive OAC game at Muskingum Dec. 15. Heidelberg then finishes the month of December with a visit to Robert Morris (Dec. 19), and hosting the Heidelberg Holiday Tournament Dec. 29-30.
The month of January is filled with nine OAC games, four of which are at Sieberling Gymnasium. The five away games include visits to Capital (Jan. 3), John Carroll (Jan.10), Baldwin-Wallace (Jan. 16), Wilmington (Jan. 20), and finally at Mount Union (Jan. 27). Heidelberg’s home slate includes Otterbein (Jan. 6), Marietta (Jan. 13), Ohio Northern (Jan. 24) and Baldwin-Wallace (Jan. 31).
Five OAC games fill the month of February as Heidelberg spends only two its five game on the road traveling to Marietta (Feb. 3) and Otterbein (Feb. 10). The Berg then has three home games which include John Carroll (Feb. 7), Capital (Feb. 14), and close out the regular season with Muskingum (Feb. 16).
Heidelberg returns nine letter winners, including four starters, from last season including all-conference honorees junior Amanda Campbell (Pataskala, Ohio/ Watkins Memorial) and sophomore Brittany Skolnicki (Lorain, Ohio/ Clearview), as well as sophomore Ashley Hawley (Sullivan, Ohio/ Black River) and senior Kyle Davison (Ravenna, Ohio/ Hudson). | ||||||
