Campbell Named To All-OAC Academic First Team

Junior Amanda Campbell (Pataskala, Ohio / Watkins Memorial) of the Heidelberg College women’s basketball team has been named to the 2007 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Academic First Team.

To earn consideration for the All-OAC Academic Team one must carry at least a 3.25 grade point average, be a starter or key reserve and in at least her second season of competition.

Campbell is studying public relations and finance and boasts a cumulative grade point average of 3.6.

In 2006-07, Campbell led the team in rebounding, pulling down 7.6 rebounds a game and in steals with 65. She ranked second on the team in scoring at 13.5 points a game and in assists with 50. Campbell earned a spot on the All-OAC Second Team for her efforts on the hardwood. It was the third-straight all-conference honor for her career.
