Campbell Garners All-OAC Honors

Junior guard Amanda Campbell (Pataskala, Ohio / Watkins Memorial) of the Heidelberg College women’s basketball team was named to the 2007 Ohio Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Second Team. It is the third-straight season that Campbell has garnered all-conference accolades, earning honorable mention honors in 2005 and 2006.

Campbell finished the year leading the team in rebounding, pulling down 7.6 rebounds a game. She also led the defense with 65 steals. The Pataskala, Ohio native ranked second on the team in scoring at 13.5 points a game and in assists with 50.

Campbell opened the season leading the Berg to the Roadrunner Tip-Off Tournament Championship and earning Most Valuable Player honors. She was tabbed the OAC Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 26, 2006 after hitting a shot at the buzzer of double overtime to give Heidelberg a 64-63 victory at Lake Erie College Nov. 21, 2006. Finally, Campbell closed out 2006 being named the Most Valuable Player of the Heidelberg Holiday Alumni Classic in leading Heidelberg to the team championship.

Over the last three years, Campbell has ranked among the top-two on the team in scoring, rebounding and in steals.
