Tyson, Jr. Tabbed OAC Men’s Field Athlete Of The Week

Junior Greg Tyson, Jr. (Lima, Ohio / Lima Senior) of the Heidelberg College men’s track and field team has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the week for the week of April 23, 2007.

Tyson, Jr. helped to lead Heidelberg to a runner-up finish in the 18-team field at the 2007 All-Ohio Division III Championships on Wednesday. Along the way Tyson, Jr. leaped to a first in the long jump and a second in the triple jump with leaps of 22’3.75” and 43’2.25”, respectively. He was also a member of the championship 4x400-meter relay team.

On Saturday, Tyson, Jr. took part in two individual events at the Wilmington Invite. Tyson, Jr. won the long jump with a distance of 21’10.75” and the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.68.
