Beebe Takes Home His Second OAC Runner Of The Week Honor

Sophomore Cory Beebe (Medina, Ohio / Cloverleaf) of the Heidelberg College men’s track and field team was tabbed the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Runner of the Week for the week of February 12, 2007. It is the second runner of the week honor for Beebe in 2007.

Heidelberg finished second at the 19-team All-Ohio Meet over the weekend in Westerville, Ohio. The second place finish was the highest by the Berg.

Beebe paced the Berg with a first place finish in the 400-meter dash (50.19). He also teamed up with Steven Malone (Shaker Heights, Ohio / Shaker Heights), Justin Zuchowski (Brunswick, Ohio / Brunswick) and Justin Shields (Lorain, Ohio / Anherst L. Steele) to capture the 4x200-meter relay title in a time of 1:32.15. Beebe, Zuchowski and Shields joined forces with Reed Wolverton (Van Wert, Ohio / Van Wert) to run away with the 4x400-meter relay championship in 3:26.20.
