Norris Tabbed OAC Men’s Tennis Player Of The Week

Junior Maxwell Norris (Toledo, Ohio / Springfield) of the Heidelberg College men’s tennis team has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player for the week of April 2, 2007.

Norris helped lead Heidelberg to a 2-0 showing last week with two victories at second singles and teamed up with senior Paul Evans (Manchester, England / Holy Cross) to post two wins at first doubles.

In an 8-1 win at Bluffton, Norris won 6-3, 6-0 over Blake Babcock. Evans and Norris started the scoring early for Heidelberg with an 8-5 win at first doubles.

On Saturday, in a 9-0 win at Marietta, Norris helped the Berg to its second-straight victory with a 6-0, 6-1 win at second singles and an 8-0 win at first doubles.

Norris currently boasts an overall record of 6-3 and has won six of his last eight outings.
