Men’s Tennis Victorious Over Ohio Wesleyan

The Heidelberg College men’s tennis team opened action in Hilton Head, S.C. with a 5-2 victory over Ohio Wesleyan. The win improved the Berg to 1-1 overall.

             

Heidelberg earned three early points from its play in doubles. Paul Evans (Manchester, England / Holy Cross) and Max Norris (Toledo, Ohio / Springfield) won 8-1, while Ahmad Al-Turk (Sandusky, Ohio / Perkins) and Evan Fahning (Milan, Ohio / Edison) were victories by a score of 8-5. Eric Guindon (Martinsville, Ohio / Wilmington) and Luke Florence (Tiffin, Ohio / Calvert) won 8-2.

             

Norris won 6-1, 6-1 at second singles and Guindon won at third singles, 6-3, 6-3. Rounding out the scoring for the Berg was Fahning with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at fifth singles and Florence with a 6-4, 6-3 win at sixth singles.
