Baldwin-Wallace Nets Three In Win Over Heidelberg

The Heidelberg College men's team fell to Baldwin-Wallace 3-0 Tuesday night in Berea , Ohio . The Yellow Jackets improve to 11-1-1 and 3-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference while the Student Princes fell to 4-6-3 overall and 1-3 in conference play.

Baldwin-Wallace's Alex Williams-Witzky scored the first of two goals in the contests 19th minute. Heidelberg trailed 1-0 heading into halftime.

The Student Princes held firm in the second half but two goals by B-W in the final 11 minutes clinched the game for the Yellow Jackets. Mike McCue scored his first goal of the season and Williams-Witzky added another with 25 seconds remaining for the final margin.

For the game, Heidelberg took six shots. Sophomores Brad Howell (Lexington, Ohio / Lexington) and Adam Schockman (Camp Denison, Ohio / Camp Denison) had the lone shots on goal for the Berg.

In goal for the Student Princes, sophomore Brian Benson (Bay Village, Ohio / Bay) grabbed four saves on seven shots faced. Benson falls to 2-5-1 on the season.

Heidelberg returns home for a pair of OAC games. On Saturday, the Berg squares off with the Crusaders of Capital University at 2 p.m. On Oct. 18, Heidelberg hosts the John Carroll Blue Streaks at 4 p.m.
