Men's Basketball Falls To Baldwin-Wallace On The Road

The Heidelberg College men's basketball team fell to Ohio Athletic Conference foe Baldwin-Wallace College by a score of 93-80 on the road. The loss puts the Berg at 12-8, 8-5 in the OAC, while the victory improves B-W to 13-7, 8-5 in the OAC.

             

B-W jumped out to an early 4-0 lead and never looked back. The Yellow Jackets led by as many as 14 in the first half and headed into the locker room with a 39-28 lead.

             

In the second half the Berg pulled within eight on three occasions in the final 2:02 of the ballgame, but could not get any closer. The Yellow Jackets finished out the game on a 10-5 run and held the ball for the last 31 seconds as time on the clock ran out.

             

Leading the way in scoring for the Berg was Shawn Shriver (Bellevue, Ohio/ Western Reserve) and Andrew Lemmon (Port Clinton, Ohio/ Port Clinton) with 23 points apiece. Rounding out three in double figures was Ron Higgins (Vermillion, Ohio/ Firelands) with 12 points. Lemmon also led the way on the glass with nine rebounds, followed by Higgins with seven boards.

             

Baldwin-Wallace had four players in double figures in scoring. Tori Davis led all scorers with 25, while teammate Brendan Schuler followed with 20 points. Davis also led the way in rebounds with 11.
