Men’s Golf Rounds Out Fall Slate At Mount Union Invitational

The Heidelberg College men's golf team rounded outs its 2006 fall slate at the Mount Union College Fall Invitational Oct. 1-2, 2006. The Berg posted a sixth-place finish after shooting a 642 (320, 322). John Carroll won the event with a 603 (296, 307) followed by Mount Union with a 604 (298, 306).

Leading the way for the Berg was freshman Josh Seckel (Richwood, Ohio / North Union) with a 158, including a team-best 78 in day one of action. Seckel stood tied for 19th in the final individual standings. Following behind Seckel, in a tie for 25th, was Trenton Kueling (Mansfield, Ohio / Madison) with back-to-back 80’s for a two-day total of 160.

Garrett Humes (Delaware, Ohio / Buckeye Valley) fired a 161 (82, 79), good enough to tie for 27th overall, while Justin Arnold (Circleville, Ohio / Logan Elm) shot an 80 and 83 to stand tied for 36th. Rounding out the scoring for the Berg was Paul Stanich (Mentor, Ohio / Mentor) with a 178 (89, 89).
