Adjustments Made To 2006 Fall Ball Schedule

The Heidelberg College baseball team's fall season was originally scheduled to begin on Sept. 18, but has been pushed back one week due to construction at Peaceful Valley, the home of Heidelberg baseball. The 2006 fall season for Berg baseball will now run from Sept. 25-Oct.20. The fall schedule includes practices, workouts, lifting and inter-squad games.

Practice is scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Fridays beginning at 3:30 p.m. The weekends through the fall will consist of inter-squad games. The Berg will play a single game every Friday followed by a doubleheader on Saturdays. Saturday games are slated to start at noon.

The fall season will conclude with Heidelberg's own World Series on Oct. 19 and 20. The 2007 senior captains will draft teams and will play a three-game series. Prior to the World Series on Sunday, Oct. 15, Heidelberg will have a banquet to honor the 2006 team and to officially kick off the 2007 season.

Heidelberg, under the guidance of eighth-year head coach Matt Palm, has made it to the OAC Tournament six out of the last seven years, including four consecutive seasons. Palm guided the Berg to its first regular season league championship in 2003 and its first tournament championship in 2004.
