Peaceful Valley, the home of the Heidelberg College baseball team, is undergoing an upgrade this fall.  The batting cages are under construction as a roof will cover the cages from inclement weather. The 42 x 80 feet long structure will be lined with astro turf to increase its durability.

The new facility will be located behind the home, third base dugout and will feature two batting cages on zip lines that offer enough room for not only the hitters, but the Berg pitching staff to throw bullpens.  The astro turf floor will help with infield practice during weather threatening days.

Heidelberg is set to embark on its 49th season of intercollegiate baseball and is in search of its second Ohio Athletic Conference Championship. The home opener for the Berg at Peaceful Valley is slated for March 23 against cross-town rival Tiffin University.
