The above statements of mission and purpose focus on Heidelberg College’s Office of Graduate Studies goals for individuals who have earned the Bachelor’s degree. Heidelberg’s Master’s-level professional programs provide graduates with the means to further expand their understanding and appreciation of the world; develop abilities and strength of character to achieve their personal goals; and develop the capacity and willingness to contribute in a positive and constructive way to the communities in which they live. Presently, Heidelberg College offers the Master of Arts in Education (MAE), Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC), and the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

The Master of Arts in Counseling degree program was authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents in 1988 and has been in continuous operation since that date. In 1991 Heidelberg College’s School Counselor Licensure program was approved by the Ohio Board of Education, and in 1998 was approved for Professional Counselor and Professional Clinical Counselor Licensure by the Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. The Master of Arts in Counseling program is designed to meet and exceed the academic requirements for those students who are seeking licensure as a Professional Counselor (PC), Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC), or a Professional School Counselor (PSC) in the state of Ohio. The program is dedicated to educating, preparing and mentoring students with a grounding in theory and practice in preparation to enter the counseling field. There are three program concentrations: School Counseling, Community Counseling and Dual Community/School. A variety of class formats are offered such as once a week/evening, alternate Saturdays and abbreviated online courses.

The Master of Arts in Education degree program, designed for practicing public and parochial school teachers, was authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents in December 1986 and has been in continuous operation since that date. In 2003, Heidelberg College began offering the Master of Arts in Education at the Arrowhead Park site in Maumee, Ohio. The program is available to teachers who seek to complete the Master’s degree as well as those who require additional graduate course hours to meet licensure requirements. Courses are available in full semester, eight-week term and five-week term formats throughout the academic year and during the summer. Most classes meet in the evening to accommodate working professionals.

The Master of Business Administration degree program was authorized by the Ohio Board of Regents in 1996. Heidelberg College’s MBA program develops the knowledge and skills needed for general management by utilizing an instructional philosophy called "discussion pedagogy with experiential learning." Unlike the lecture method of instruction, discussion pedagogy uses case studies and provides a continuous process of integration of management skills with course content.  In 1995 Heidelberg College began operating the MBA program at the Arrowhead Park site in Maumee. This program operates in an eight-week term format, with six terms offered during the year. All courses are offered in an evening format designed to accommodate working professionals.
