The Battle of Fallen Timbers VIP movie premiere



The following photos were taken at the VIP premiere of Gary Foreman's movie, "The Battle of Fallen Timbers," Saturday, March 11, 2000, at The Pinnacle in Arrowhead Park, Maumee, Ohio. The screening was presented by the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Preservation Commission and sponsored by Buckeye CableSystem, Inc. and Food Town, Inc.

1. A formal fanfare and The National Anthem were performed by members of the Maumee High School Brass Trio.

2. International recording artist Mark Larsen presented a tribute to the native American community.

3. Dr. John Howard presents a toast to the American flag.

4. Gen. Lance Talmage presents a toast to the soldiers of the Battle of Fallen Timbers.

5. Mr. Donald Moyer presents a toast. (Photo not yet available)

6. Mrs. Marianne Britt Duvendack presents a toast to the volunteers behind the Fallen Timbers Battlefield preservation movement.

7. Mr. Thomas Walton, vice president and editor of The Blade, presents welcoming remarks and acknowledgements.

8. Heidelberg College archaeologist Dr. G. Michael Pratt presents remarks to open the program after dinner.

9. Ft. Miami Elementary School student Jonathan Corum presents remarks on behalf of his classmates.

10. On behalf of Congressman Mark Souder (Fort Wayne, Ind.), Mr. Mark Wickersham offers words of congratulations and support.

11. On behalf of Senator Mike DeWine (Ohio), Mr. Terry Kuhl thanks the people who helped the senator in passing legislation he authored. (photo not yet available)

12. Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur acknowledges the effort and dedication of the hundreds of people behind the Fallen Timbers legislation she sponsored.

13. Mr. Gary Foreman, award-winning producer and director, offers encouragement to the audience and then added commentary during the premiere showing of his movie, "The Battle of Fallen Timbers," to air on The History Channel this summer.

14. Rich Iott and Jim Smythe present closing remarks after the movie premiere.

15. Libby Marsh, one of the primary organizers of the dinner and screening, gives last minute instructions and thanks.
