Honorable Stephen J. Pauken
Mayor City of Maumee
110 East Dudley Street
Maumee, OH 43537
Dear Mayor Pauken:
Your September 21, 1995, letter asked about the next step in obtaining affiliated status for Fallen Timbers Battlefield. As you know, representatives from the National Park Service's Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Program; Park Planning and Special Studies Division; Great Lakes/Great Plains Field Area; and the American Battlefield Protection Program have been working on this issue.
I am pleased to learn that you, representatives of the above National Park Service programs, and others who are interested directly in this issue will meet at the end of January to begin working on affiliated unit report for Fallen Timbers Battlefield. I wholeheartedly endorse this effort. Rory Robinson and Paul Labovitz of the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Program will organize the meeting and take the lead in coordinating the report compilation.
If we can be of further assistance, please contact us at (202) 208-4621 or call Rory Robinson at (216) 657-2950. Again, we are pleased to see this effort moving forward.
Sincerely,
[signed]
