Field and Laboratory Photos


The following pictures depict the activities of the Fallen Timbers Battlefield Archaeology Project from the point of field work to laboratory processing. Metal detector workers were paired with another worker for excavation of finds.


Some important artifacts, like the bayonet, were photographed at the site where they were found.


Each artifact find was marked with a flag to identify its position.


The field in front of the treeline was speckled with flags marking finds.


A Global Positioning System was used to accurately record artifact finds.
